Laugh Instead of Cry at the Dental Office With Nitrous Oxide

Are you nervous about your upcoming appointment with us? If so, there’s no need! With the modern technology in the dental world today, we have the tools and talent to get you through your appointment with success. However, we do understand dental appointments can still be a bit scary. So, to help ease your fears, we happily offer nitrous oxide!

What is nitrous oxide?
Nitrous oxide is a sedative that is mixed with oxygen. It is also known as laughing gas. This sedative is inhaled through the nose, and it does not have any particular smell or taste. It is light, safe, and effective, and it is meant to help those who come in for more major dental treatments.

How will I be sedated?
The nitrous oxide is provided with the help of a mask, so when you come into our dental office and get settled into a chair, our dentist will place a small mask over your nose. Then, the mask will release the sedative into the air and you will deeply inhale for a few minutes. This sedative will not put you to sleep. You will remain awake and responsive throughout the treatment.

How will it make me feel?
This sedative will make you feel relaxed, tingly, and light headed. It will make you feel comfortable in the hands of the dentist, and you will not have a care in the world. The effects will also wear off quickly once the mask is removed from your nose, so you don’t need to worry about having a ride home from your appointment.

We want you to have the best experience possible at our office, which is why we are happy to provide this safe sedative! If you have any questions or if you’re interested in knowing more about nitrous oxide, please feel free to call our office today and talk to our wonderful team. We look forward to hearing from you!
